Technology is a critical tool in the information age and is part of at the daily routine in each classroom. Internet access is available throughout the facility and the computer lab has an average of fifteen students computer workstations with Internet and support software based on identified individual needs and students learning styles and learning goals. The classrooms have smart boards (whiteboard) to develop multimedia lesson banks and projects in core academic disciplines, on-line access to reference resources and access to the schools instructional software collections.

Dr. Nicole Phillips Hollis is the Chief Executive Director/Principal for Bridge to Independence, Incorporated; a 501(c)(3) non- profit educational organization. Nicole Phillips Hollis is a native of Orlando, Florida, and a graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona Beach, Florida. On May 24,2024, Nicole Phillips Hollis was presented with an honorary doctorate degree from the Cornerstone University of Florida. She has 2 sons, who reside in the Orlando area. She is the author of “My Neighborhood Super Kids”. Hollis’ main objective is to improve the lives of children who live in the Orlando rural areas who suffer from a lack of success in the traditional classroom setting. This was achieved by implementation of a customized academic curriculum to fit the needs of students whose academic levels are below performance. Over the past few years, Bridge to Independence has developed an advanced curriculum for students whose academic levels are of advanced performance during the school year. In 2017 the school obtained accreditation from the Association of Independent Schools of Florida. Dr. Phillips Hollis has established several partnerships with the University of Central Florida, the Center for Research and Education in Arts, Technology and Entertainment (CREATE) to name a few. In 2018 City of Orlando District 5 funded/provided an audio class for BTI’s high school students. Also, in the year 2018 Edmentum software comprising of a digital curriculum Mathematics, English and Reading for all levels within the school K-12 was implemented. This digital curriculum allowed students to work at grade level and was also suitable for remediation. This allowed BTI to be fully prepared when in 2020 schools went virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Dr. Hollis’ most recent partnership took place in 2021 by establishing new dual enrollment partnerships with Valencia College and University of South Florida. Dr. Hollis established a partnership with Steinway Piano Gallery in 2022. A good musical education enhances the life of any child. Recent studies have shown that music lessons help to improve children's grades in school as well as offering many additional benefits such as improving concentration, confidence, self-discipline and the enjoyment of life. Dr. Phillips Hollis is passionate about education and developing the child to be a productive citizen.
